Financial Strategist

Chris Cruz has been in the financial services industry since 1996. As a financial strategist, Chris teaches his clients the most efficient methods of maximizing both their money supply and their benefits while minimizing taxes and risk. His previous professional experience as both a NASA engineer and as a small-business owner provide him with the insights and analytical abilities required to provide his clients with reliable guidance for their financial decisions.

Chris earned a B.S. in Aerospace and Ocean Engineering from Virginia Tech in 1983. He also earned an M.S. in Fluid Mechanics and Thermal Science from George Washington University in 1988. In 1995, Chris earned an M.S. in Applied Mathematics from the College of William and Mary.

In the financial services industry, Chris holds the designation of Retirement Income Certified Professional (RICP). He holds the following FINRA registrations: Series 6, 7, 63, and 65.

Chris and his wife, Cindy, are active members of Liberty Baptist Church in Hampton, Virginia and have traveled on several mission trips in recent years. They are supporters of youth sports programs and puppy rescue organizations, as well as various other volunteer organizations. Chris is an avid tennis player and competes in amateur tennis tournaments and leagues several times a week.

Chris and Cindy's middle son, Tyler, recently joined Chris at Vector27 Financial Group. Their oldest son, Travis, is an avid storm chaser. Their youngest son, Trace, is a student at Liberty University.
